Cheryl's Place gives homeless families with children short-term housing, job skills training, and a personalized 60-day plan to reach stability — at no cost.
No roof tonight
Your family is currently homeless — meaning you have no safe, stable place to sleep tonight, and no family or friends able to house you.
Single parent, local roots
You're a single parent with at least one child under 18, and you've lived in Pickens County for at least 90 days before becoming homeless.
Ready to work
You're able to work within 30 days — or you're already receiving disability income sufficient to cover permanent housing costs.
Drug Free
You're drug-free and willing to complete a background check and drug test. If you're managing a mental health condition, you're currently under a doctor's care.
School-age kids, reachable
Your children are school-age — child care isn't provided during the program. You'll also need a working cell phone with voicemail so we can stay in contact throughout.
All in
You're willing to sign an agreement with Cheryl's Place and hold up your end of it — including job searching, housing searching, and helping maintain the facility.
